New reports say the Xperia S made its way through the FCC approval with a quad-band GSM / UMTS / HSPA radio (850, 900, 1900, 2100MHz). Tech blog Engadget as deduced, which sounds much like the Xperia S is for the AT & T and, unfortunately, no T-Mobile.
It's a real disappointment, since all handsets these days seem to be hot landing at Verizon or AT & T: Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Motorola Razr Maxx Droid, Droid 4, 900 Lumia Nokia, and Sony Xperia Ion. Add to that the Xperia S, which is a T-Mo customer to do, but an unlocked device nab the experience a little love gadget?
To be fair, it becomes increasingly difficult to design a smartphone that stands out from the growing crowd of Android. Sony, however, beat the odds with the Xperia S. It is distinctively styled with a glowing light strip on the base. The 12-megapixel camera phone sounds appealing, too. I just hope that the glory days of the legendary T-Mobile phones like the G1, G2, and even Galaxy S II are not at an end.
